Hello all . . .Well the Bass Derby is over for another year. Now, on to the Moose Float. I want to thank everyone who worked on the float; all of the work did pay off. WE WON FIRST PLACE!!!! Good job and thanks to all.
I hope that you like the new paint job that Denny has done. We all think it looks good and improves our Center. "Thank You" Denny for all your work, you have made the Lodge a better place.
Calling all Cooks: we still need cooks!
As for vacancies on the LOOM Board, we need 3 Men for those open spots.

Hello to all of our wonderful Delta Moose Members:
See what happens when we all get together and work with each other . . . We won first place in the Bass Derby Parade with our great float!!!! GREAT JOB TO all the kids on the float and to Joe (Ionah) Robertson, Mickey, Norma Simmer, Winnie the Pooh for riding on the float. It was long and extremely hot for them but they did it! Thanks to Chad McWilliams for wearing the Moose suit and almost suffocating for the lack of air, (supplied by Robert & Julie Oaks), and handing out all of the fun bubbles and candy. The wonderful children on our float threw out about 25 lbs. of candy to all of the on-lookers at the parade. The kids were great!!!
Thanks and kudos go out to Steve Dickey for all of the graphic banners he produced; to Denny Simpson, Bill Giardino, and Mike Black for assembling the float; to Kristin Esperson for supplying the bales of hay; and, to Bill G. for picking them up. Also thanks to Norma Simmer for supplying red, white, and blue sheets for the bales of hay; made it easier to sit on. Norma also supplied a very nice ceramic moose for a decoration, which unfortunately got broken; sorry Norma - - - our THANKS for YOUR understanding!
Thanks to Lorraine Zupfer for all of her creativity with the chicken wire and paper flowers; the American flag design(done by her); and, the Pink Cancer Society on the back of the float (in honor of Cancer Month). That was outstanding Lorraine! Thank to you for all of your hard work and instructions to the rest of us. Thanks to Cathie Heighes, Lorraine Zupfer, Barbara Kelly, Kathy Carvalho, Char Stanton (new Member), Kristin Esperson; and, all for working so ling-and-hard on making all of the red, white, and blue flowers - - - all of their fingers and hands got a tremendous workout! AGAIN, a great big THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU!
Another big thanks to Cathie H. for driving her beautiful '89 Pontiac, SSA Firebird "T-Top"; Doris Childs for driving her '94 Ford Thunderbird carrying our Moose Men; Noorie Gardnier form the Fairfield Lodge with his yellow "Pilgrim" jacket and David Kean with his blue "Fellowship" jacket. Finally, I really enjoyed my ride in my '84 380 SL. Thanks to Cathie for our car-door decorations of red, white, and blue to go on our cars.
And what about our great clean truck, gas, and driver HAUS ZUPFER! He did one outstanding job for our Moose Float. Thanks to him for hooking up, pulling, and unhooking our float. Without him, it wouldn't have happened.
Finally, but not last, what about our great balloons to go on all of our cars, truck, and float! Again, donated by Robert and Julie Oaks, owners of Rio Vista Florist and thanks too to their daughter riding on the float helping throw-out the candy. Robert walked the whole parade and handed out the extra balloons. Nice touch for the Parade!
Again, THANKS TO EVERYONE AND ALL OF THE WONDERFUL SUPPORT WIHT DONATIONS, SUPPLIES, MEETINGS, AND EVERYTHING ELSE!!!!
YEAH! TO ALL OF OUR MOOSE MEMBERS AND OUR LODGE!
